'The album has a very filmic quality to it. Ever since i can remember, the tracks on my day to day playlists weren't what you would imagine, they consisted of mostly instrumental music and film scores, from Enya to Johnny Klimek-Its timeless, and can be enjoyed by anybody, anywhere, at any time, no matter what the situation. It transcends language. It transcends all physical limits. It's more than something you hear, its something you feel. That's what i wanted to achieve with this album-each track will mean something different to each person and thats the beauty of it.'
Benjamin Adams has had a unorthodox journey for a classical composer. Having already toured the world releasing 2 choral classical albums as lead soloist at st.margarets, westminster abbey, 5 studio albums with his band a1, and written and produced countless songs for some of the most established artists around the globe, he has already racked up over 10 million record sales throughout his career. His new musical 'EUGENIUS' is currently in production and is due to be hitting the stage in late 2016.
More recently he has turned his attention to his first love, classical music, and has been working on the album entitled 'A BEAUTIFUL MOURNING'. His writing and production work has expanded over the years beyond the usual realms of mainstream chart music, creating music for brands and advertisements such as 'Fat face' and 'Boden', and music for television with clients including the BBC and Chanel 4, as well as working on film scores with carefully hand picked directors.
Having written music for many years to other peoples briefs, he wanted to write an album entirely to his own.
